January Home Sales Report (2024)

Here are the latest statistics for residential real estate in Cincinnati, Southeastern Indiana, Northern Kentucky, Dayton and Springfield.

The region's home sales kicked off with promising data showing ongoing adjustments that indicate a return to a more balanced market, benefiting both buyers and sellers. Here is a report by region of home sales during January of 2024:

Cincinnati/Southeast Indiana

January 2024 vs January 2023

  • -9.1% decrease in homes sold (850 vs. 935 homes)

  • 6.4% increase in median sale price ($255, 250 vs. 240,000)

  • -1.2% decrease in sales volume ($266,526,980 vs. $269,734,035)

  • 16.8% increase in active inventory (1526 listings)

  • 9.6% increase in new listings (1341 new listings)

  • 28.6% increase in median days on market (9 days)

Northern Kentucky

January 2024 vs January 2023

  • 5% increase in homes sold (362 homes vs 346 homes)

  • 2% increase in median sale price ($255,500 vs $250,000)

  • 3% increase in sales volume ($107,600,000 vs $104,700,000)

  • 7% increase in active inventory (821 vs 766)

  • 4% decrease in new listings (487 vs 507)

  • 19% increase in average days on the market (38 vs 32)

  • 23.58% increase in homes sold (891 vs 721 homes)

  • 9.94% increase in median sale price ($206,900 vs $188,200)

  • 19.19% increase in new listings (1174 vs 985)
